Dear Steve,

After many unforeseen hangups I have finally getten some things together on

DECtape. I hope your PDP10 has no trouble reading the tape. The PIP program should

do it. I've enclosed a directory of what is on the tape. There is some small chance

that a few of the programs might compile on the 11/70. The ones to try are as

follows: TR2.F4, TR3.F4, TR4.F4

These combine to form the translator for to take Stanford music format and convert

it to MUSIC5 format. The assembled program can be called 'TRANS'. When this works it

reads any of the '.DAT' files on the tape and puts out a binary file for MUSIC5, PASS3

to read. At this point I'll be happy if the text files are successfully transferred

to the 11/70.

The file SCORE.LCS is the main SCORE manual - not a program. I have broken the

program in two main parts. Part I is in the files S11A, S11B, S11C, S11D and Part II is

in R11A, R11B, R11C. These will surely not compile as yet but I hope to get them going

next week. (They run fine on the PDP10.)

I will also bring with me the latest forms of the various PDP10 programs. These

should not be too difficult to get running. I will be phoning Wes from New York City

sometime after the 19th.

 					See you soon,
